Richard Mangus (9-17-25 Chuck Hunt /website) (Update 9-26-25) Richard says “Now they tell me I could have a stroke and/or more stomach bleeding. Strokes scare me. I need prayers please. I'm in a hospital in Charleston WV. I want to heal and go home. I had a bleeding ulcer. Also, I pray to be able to go to outpatient physical therapy instead of inpatient. I have so much to do. It’s making me depressed to be away from home. I hope you can pray for that too. Depression is painful. I am living completely isolated from other church members. People here are nominal Christians, but they ignore the Sabbath and embrace many pagan practices. I hope the church will pray for me to be healed and released to go home. Please pray for God’s healing hand and intervention. (Update 12-27-25) Please pray for me for my health to improve and depression to go away. (Update 4-24-26) Richard’s doctor wants him to take dangerous medicine because of an antibiotic-resistant infection. He is hoping it will work but worried about side effects. (Update 5-8-26) Richard still has an ongoing UTI and they want to use dangerous medicine to clear it up. He can't figure out how it happened, and the doctor said that no one knows how these things happen. (Update 5-20-26) Richard has an appointment to see a urologist coming up. (Update 5-10-26) Kyle had some test done and it showed possible cancer in his lung and esophagus. (Update 5-12-26) Kyle went to a specialist on May 12th. He has a spot on his lung that is small. They will do a rescan in three months. He has swollen lymph nodes pressing on his esophagus making it hard to eat. They think it may be a fungal infection. He has all of the symptoms due to the work that he does (tree work). He had blood work done and they are waiting to see what the results are to then come up with a treatment plan. He is also going to have a biopsy on his lymph nodes to rule out cancer. (Update 5-21-26) Kyle got his blood test results and he tested positive for a fungal infection. He will be referred to a specialist for treatments. He also had a biopsy on a lymph node, and he is waiting for the results. His lymph nodes have decreased, so he has been able to eat. He was able to have his ventilator removed, but only briefly, and has been put back on it. He is also able to communicate with eye movement, head nods, and some writing. Davin did not know that his two children were lost in the fire. His wife Jasmin and a therapy team had that difficult conversation with him. She received a phone call a couple days after a follow-up apt. she had last week. The doctor recommended continuing the chemo treatment, which would be the third round and most potent. It also comes with the most side effects. She was hoping to just do radiation, but the chemo was recommended because there may be some stray particles (cancer cells) that could start growing again and if the cancer returns, it would be untreatable and she would not survive. They are hoping to quickly do this to stop the terrible migraines she has. If that doesn't work, they will have to do surgery, which has risks because she is on blood thinners due to the 3 large blood clots from the pancreas surgery earlier this year. (Update 1-28-26) Samantha was admitted to the hospital today to monitor her as they took her off blood thinners to proceed with surgery. The tumor grew another cm since December, and she has hydrocephalus which is blocking CSF fluid. (Update 2-6-26) The surgery to remove the brain tumor went perfectly. Hopefully, if his liver stays stable, Gary is hoping a biopsy won’t be necessary. (Update 1-29-26) The surgery to remove the growth on Gary’s left larynx is scheduled for June 30th. The surgeon requested a specific surgical team, including a particular anesthesiologist, and insisted on performing the procedure at the main campus due to the size of the growth and Gary’s other medical conditions.
